Christmas and New Year at Penina Hotel & Golf Resort

Christmas is well and truly in the air at Penina Hotel & Golf Resort now, and we are making the final preparations for our spectacular programme of events.

The Algarve is a wonderful place to spend the festive season, and we are all looking forward to making it even more special. The chefs here at Penina have been working hard to create an incredible Christmas menu – and we have all been very glad to test it and make sure that it is perfect for the big day. There will be also be a very indulgent dinners on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve, where Champagne will be flowing and music will be playing.

Aside from all of the festive meals, there will be a number of very special golf events especially for guests staying with us during the Christmas period. These include free golf clinics with Penina Pros, and friendly competitions with grand, celebratory prize-giving ceremonies afterwards. You may even decide to play a round on the world-famous Sir Henry Cotton Championship Course.

If you’re thinking of spending Christmas in the paradise that is the Algarve, then we will be happy to welcome you. Our packages start at just €70 per night, and include all sorts of golfing and Christmas events.

Algarve St Andrew's Ball at Penina Hotel & Golf Resort

Join the Saint Andrew’s Society of the Algarve for their annual ball on the 30th November 2013. This year the event is falling on St Andrew’s day itself and should be an all singing, all dancing, occasion to remember.

The event gets underway at 7.00pm when participants will be piped in to the Champagne reception by the talented Malcolm MacGillivray. This will be followed by a knockdown, knees up buffet, accompanied by wine... followed by coffee accompanied by Atholl Brose.

The Sounds of Islay – a genuine Ceilidh band from Scotland who are flying over especially – will guarantee to get your toes tapping and your feet dancing. They’ll be plenty of people on hand to help you try out this traditional Scottish dancing for the first time... should you feel the urge.

The ball is priced at €37.50 for Society members and €40 for non-members. If you thinking of coming to the ball and staying overnight at the hotel - or perhaps playing a round of golf on the Sir Henry Cotton Championship Course as well... we’ve laid on a very special rate for the event.
